On the same day, Guo Wengui announced in the live broadcast that he had "invested huge sums of money" and "invited a world-class team" to create a platform called "Guo Media". According to Guo Wengui, users do not need to register with their mobile phone number and personal information, and everyone can speak freely on this platform. In July 2020, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Securities Regulatory Commission began investigating Guo Wengui and Bannon, the founders of the "Revelation Revolution". The investigation involved the source of funds for the media activities of the two. On August 20, 2020, Bannon was arrested on Guo Wengui’s yacht on suspicion of embezzling funds from the private project "We Build the Wall" to raise funds for the construction of the US-Mexico border wall. After Bannon was arrested, Guo Wengui quickly separated his relationship with Bannon, emphasized that he had not participated in Bannon's affairs, and would no longer allow Bannon to continue to serve as a member of Guo Media’s board of directors.
