HSBC had already responded in their FB post how to resolve the problem, copied below:
Malware scams are on the rise, and we are working hard to protect you.
We have recently enhanced the HSBC SG mobile app on Android devices to detect potentially high-risk apps and we are aware of some intermittent issues.
If you notice your HSBC SG mobile app is crashing at launch on your Android device, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to your phone ‘System settings’ > ‘Accessibility’ > look for an option labelled ‘Installed apps’ > deactivate/toggle off all apps
- For example, on Samsung mobile devices with the latest user interface, you can navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Installed apps
2. Check your phone ‘Keyboard setting’ > ensure it is default phone keyboard (e.g. Gboard or Samsung keyboard)
- For example, on Samsung mobile devices with the latest user interface, you can navigate to General management> Keyboard list and defaults > Samsung keyboard
