some korean or japanese 摊位, when they sold out the noodles ( home made or bought), they will use instant noodles to replace, it does happen
i met twice, once japannese once korean, both times i asked them why, they told me they had no more nooldes and since i ordered noodle not rice, they had to give me the instant noodles, -- what a reason!
maybe your luck was not so good last time:(
next time, double check with them if they still have noodle and tell them that you will not accept instant noodle ( hehe, you will hear - " oh, yeah, we never sell instant noodle, it is homemade, blar blar, :)
