文中提到的两个条件一个是自身（内因），一个是环境（外因）。研究者自身的动力（文中多次强调），能力（文中没有明讲），和无忧开放自由的科研环境结合起来，科研才可以达到一定深度。

经济的压力只是无忧开放自由的科研环境的一个部分，就是你不会为钱担忧，即使你几年没有科研成果。其他的如家人的理解支持，领导的肯定，也是一个无忧开放自由的科研环境所应该包含的。

当然，“无忧开放自由”应该是研究者自己感受的，定义的，有些人也很可能会因为没有海景别墅而感到担忧，会因为没有定期做spa而感到有压力，或是因为跑车不够拉风而感到不自由。。。。
