Please kindly pay careful attention to the following announcements on modules registration for Semester 1, AY2008/09.
1. Year 1 Modules
The Semester 1 schedule is ready for viewing here.
* All first-year students (including Polytechnic Direct Entry students) will be pre-allocated their core modules (lectures, tutorials and labs).
* Students who have not done (or need to re-take) first-year core modules are to register for the module via the e-form by 29 July 2008. Kindly note that this is subject to availability / vacancies. Applications received after the deadline will NOT be entertained. Those who have successfully secured the module are required to ballot for the tutorials and labs in CORS. For CS1101C Lab, please register at SOC's website.
* First-year students who wish to take Level One Physics Modules to satisfy ULR requirements are to bid for these modules via CORS. (Refer to Point 5)
2. English Modules
* EG1471 English for Academic Purposes: Pre-allocation will be done for students who are required to read this module, including re-take students.
* EG1413 Critical Thinking & Writing: All first-year and returning students who have not done or need to re-take EG1413, please register for the module via the e-form by 31 July 2008. Please note that EG1413 is a programme requirement module; i.e., you need to pass this module in order to graduate.
3. EG2401 Engineering Professionalism
EG2401 is open for bidding via CORS from Round 1A onwards for all Year 3 and Year 4 students. Year 2 students may start bidding for this module from Round 2A onwards for the remaining vacancies. Students who have successfully secured the module will ballot for the tutorial classes via CORS.
4. HR2002 Understanding Human Relations in the New Economy
* Students who are supposed to read HR2002 in the current semester (please check your recommended schedule) are to bid for it via CORS.
* Evening classes are available for students on Industrial Attachment (IA) only through pre-allocation. Please click here for registration information.
* The module will only be opened to other students if there are vacancies at a later time. Announcement will be made via email if vacancies arise.
5. University Level Requirements (ULR) Modules - GEMs/SS/Breadths
Some faculties have specially serviced their modules to Engineering students to allow you to bid from Round 1A onwards. Please click here for the modules information and registration procedures.
6. Appeals for ULR Modules
In the event that you are unable to get your preferred module(s) or time-slot, please try again in the following bidding rounds. Students should ONLY submit their appeals for ULR modules via CORS Appeal after Round 3B. (i.e. 12 Aug 08, 2301hrs onwards). The closing date for appeals is 15 Aug 08, 0800hrs. Appeals filed before Round 3B will NOT be considered.

8. Important Dates
Appeal for ULR Modules: 12 Aug 2008, 2301hrs to 15 Aug 2008, 0800hrs.
'W' grade takes effect from 0000hrs, 25 Aug 2008 onwards.
'F' grade takes effect from 0000hrs, 29 Sep 2008 onwards.
