You will be part of the Human Factors Laboratory. The goal of our group is to gain an understanding of the perceptual and cognitive processes involved in identifying and interacting with multi-dimensional data features, and to develop advanced visual information presentation methods and tools to enable people to gain insight from data. Your work will involve designing and prototyping novel cognitively based visualization techniques and tools.
Requirements:
BSc/Msc/Phd in Computer Science, Computational Geometry or other related fields
Experience in 3D computer graphics, computational geometry, information, data or scientific visualization involving representation of data either in real-time or non real-time databases, describing either physical or mathematical or unstructured information and/or relationships
Other experience include:
- Java/Java3D, C++, VB, MFC, MSDev Tools
- Experience building complex graphical user interface applications
- An interest in HCI concepts and development
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D graphics – Interactive displays
- Experience in design and presentation
