Study of an ER membrane protein and its role in cell migration and metastasis. In vitro cell culture studies will be complemented with establishing a transgenic and knock-out mice model. A range of experimental approaches ranging from animal experimentation, histology, molecular cloning, cell culture, to sophisticated in vivo and in vitro microscopy will be employed in these studies. Excellent infrastructures in both NUS and Biopolis will be available to support the work.
Preferred Requirement:
Graduated in a local university with related major/ if graduated aboard, GRE&TOFEL grades which meet NUS requirement are required
Ability is more important than grade (if local graduates, a good second lower honours degree or better)
Candidates with publication are preferred
Candidates with surgery background/animal handling experience are preferred
Scholarship: As NUS standard
Successful candidate will be registered next January (Jan 2007)
