TECHNICIAN POSITIONS AVAILABLE
In the Micro/Nano Fabrication Core at the MechanoBiology Institute (MBI) there is a need for support in microfabrication, specifically in moulding of chips and surfaces using elastomers, such as PDMS, and other materials. Furthermore there is a need for a cleanroom technician to make microdevices and take care of equipment. This Core group supports research groups with a number of different devices for various biological experiments.
POSITION 1
Tasks
- PDMS and other material chip moulding
- chemical surface modification
- protein stamping with PDMS structures
- maintenance and procurement of equipment and consumables
Qualifications
- minimum PolyTech graduate in engineering or Bachelors in physics, engineering
- experience with the PDMS desirable, but not necessary
- cleanroom experience desirable, but not necessary
POSITION 2
Tasks
- fabricating microdevices
- optimizing fabrication procedures
- take care of a number of equipment inside the cleanroom
- train students and staff on equipment
- maintenance and procurement of equipment and consumables for the cleanroom
Qualifications
- minimum PolyTech graduate in engineering or Bachelors in physics, engineering
- experience with basic cleanroom equipment (mask aligner, spin coater, DRIE)
