Job Title: Semiconductor Manufacturing Software Engineer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
Looking for a talented and driven Software Engineer / Programmer to support semiconductor manufacturing
systems and develop engineering and production software projects. The position requires troubleshooting,
engineering, project management, and software development skills. As well, the ideal candidate should also expect
to collaborate with the different functional teams focusing on Semiconductor Manufacturing, and may also work
with Quality, Planning, Shipping, and other areas.
Essential Functions:
• Support and troubleshoot issues often remotely
• Maintain, fix bugs, and extend existing functionality of current tools
• Multi-task and be flexible to recognize and contribute where needed
• Write code and develop databases
• Be able to quickly pickup software languages or standards
• Independently collect requirements, architect, write specs, and implement software
• Admin servers (linux, windows, and solaris platforms)
• Support user community
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
A software or engineering bachelor's degree
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Deep understanding of software programming and software project management
• Cross platform programming
• Web development
• Good database skills (sql)
• Basic understanding of statistical methods (i.e. sigma, cpk)
• Knowledge of software patterns
• Knowledge of object oriented programming
• Basic engineering principles (qual, test, maintenance, quality)
• Familiarity with quality systems and procedures
• Experience with SAP helpful
• Work well people from different functional areas, good people skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated individual
