- Issue contracts after trades are done and verify accuracy between contracts issued/received in database; recognize discrepancies and communicate to trading personnel
- Arrange L/C opening in due time and check L/C received is in order.
- Prepare and collate documents for presentation under sales L/C making sure all documents to be presented under L/C are clean
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to ensure that cargoes are shipped correctly including the issuance of shipping instructions and freight bookings as well as vessel tracking, settlement is performed properly include receiving the payment in a timely manner and the payment is correct
- Following up on shipment status and documents.
- Updating of internal systems
- Documents to be issued mainly invoices, packing list, certificate of origin by chambers of commerce, marine insurance and bills of lading when necessary.
- Liaising with relevant parties including suppliers, customers and shipping companies regarding shipping arrangements and cargo deliveries
- Claims settlements with counterparties when necessary
- Liaising with finance department for processing of bill payments as well as cargo financing methods
- Any other trade support duties as assigned
