就我知道的，分享一下，不通专业可能有出入QE(Qualification Examination)之前通通叫做Graduate Program, QE通过之后叫做PhD candidate。如果不过QE，那就是以Master by research毕业。
所以申请上一般没有差别，只是如果只申请Master而没有PHD意愿的，拿到奖学金的可能比较底，被拒的可能也就高点。
Full time 的Graduate Program一般18个月到24个月的时候QE,一般有Written Exam, Oral Exam (Presentation)和Report。
奖学金现在是QE之前1500，准备过QE做PHD的话是2000（需要另外申请的），QE之后加500（24个月而已，也就是2500）。 PR另外加300.
但是不过QE的准备以Master毕业的话，奖学金只有1500，就算当初拿了2000而不过QE也会被要求Refund的。
由于现在奖学金学校一下子给4年（包括QE之前和之后），所以你就要至少做4年来计划，除非你老板是大好人，或者你真的太牛，或者有其他的特殊情况，比如老板换大学工作了，否者4年内毕业的情况还是不多的。
Full TimePHD好像最多给5年的时间做完，part time好像是最多6年。
有没有Serve bond要看你由没有Employment Pass，如果一直都是Student Pass就不算Serve bond。Full time PHD 永远是 Student Pass。

其实很多人读PHD之前，没有想到过读phD的艰辛，我就是这样一个例子。
不说十年磨一剑，至少也是四年干一件事，很多时候是重复的做同一件事，失败了稍微改点东西，换种方式继续失败，于是说是坚持，不如说是固执。而且你很有可能做了几年，不一定有成就。
所以读PHD之前一定想清楚，自己能否忍受重复的失败，是否安于寂寞，是否足够的偏执。
对于很多考虑读PHD的人，不妨听听这首歌，看看自己是否能够忍受这样的寂寞。
