即将要开始学computing（2004）,想请教各位过来人！我马上要开始进入SOC读书了，有点茫然，想请教各位：

1）能不能总体介绍一下这个系，包括学习方法。

2）需不需要先自学一些数学知识，或编程基础？

3）第一年应该选那些科目（我想去读IS）？

4）有什么好办法能顺利进入荣誉学位的programme?

5)有没有听过那个"advanced placement test，是什么来的？

if have a search in the 学海深仇 forum, there will be several answersor join the forums held by huasing and various orgnizations.

quite hard to repeat thousands of words once and once again.

if possible, face to face talk is best.

basically, a good math base, a good ALtitude, and ask seniors and lectures whenever you do not understand SMARTLY , study hard, will help you get a good degree.

but this is the basis for all science or engineering related studies...

and do not assume you will go to IS or CS, have a good base in first year , after first year, decide which stream you want to go into.

for the first semester, (not first year), i guess you study all common essential modules, which are the same no matter what stream you want to go in.

in second semester, you may ask this question when you finish the first semester. depending on your results, your feeling about your study, your interests, etc.

do not worry, just try your best.

我想按部就班就可以了。自己感兴趣的话，可以学习一些JAVA和C的编程。数学可以看看离散数学。

第一年第一学期最好选修common的课程，比如cs1101, cs1104这样的课。这些课是基础，最好第一学期学。

advance placement test应该是让你通过考试，免修一些基础课程。但是如果没有computing的基础，最好不要去尝试。[大象 (6-28 14:23, Long long ago)] [ 传统版 | sForum ][登录后回复]3楼
