A very good place to practise your oral English on campusHi, Folks

I am a Chinese graduate student in NUS. Like most of you, I had planned to improve my oral English here before I went overseas. But when I came to SG, I found most of my colleagues/lab mates are from China and we speak Mandarin all the time. I am quite confused about how to improve my English. Fortunately, I got to know a nice place to speak English on campus. Now I’d like to recommend it to you. It is called an English Conversation Group, some kind of English Corner in China. Some kind Singaporeans and Malaysians volunteer in organizing this activity. The teachers speak good English. They usually provide some topics to discuss, such as an article from the Straits Times. We also have free topic chats sharing the experience, such as what has recently happened around us. Everyone can have the chance to open your mouth and speak to others. Normally we gather in YIH Student Lounge @7pm on every Wed. If you also have interest in this, why not come and join us?

Btw, we are planning to organize a Christmas dinner party with the traditional Christmas food on the evening of 9th,Dec. It is a fairly good chance to meet your peers and new friends. Hope to see you there on next Wed!

Tks for your attention!
