as a form of support for traditional xiangqi (chinese chess).
The new yearly fee is now from Jan till Dec. I proposed this arrangment to simplify the collection process and to improve membership management (for both SIXGA manager & members) and for better cash flow control rather than the confusing renewal every 12 months from date of joining. SIXGA has adopted pro-rota payment for those who joined in-between Jan-Dec. [SG-Reporter (10-31 12:50, Long long ago)]

宗旨：促进象棋活动，提倡传统文化。
主办机构：新加坡象棋总会。
比赛日期：2013年12月01日至12月15日
参赛资格：
凡新加坡公民、永久居民、持就业准证或学生准证者皆可参加。
报名手续：
报名费为$10。
象棋总会会员、21 岁以下在籍学生和60 岁以上人士, 报名费减半。
报名期限：即日起至11月29日晚上9时。逾期报名者，报名费加倍；本会亦有权不受理。
押金：$30。完成赛程可取回押金；缺席两轮或最后一轮缺席者则押金没收。

2013 第三届《图隆杯》just concluded yesterday, after the introduction of 第二个全国象棋个人公开赛 for 5 years, it is the right time to review the objective of having it now.
The possible objective could be to promote more players to Grade B so that more to join 公开A组 in future. For this reason, the past 3 years of 《图隆杯》did not serve this objective well as no or fewer Grade B players promoted during 2011 to 2013 period as compared to the two years in 2009 and 2010 when we had 年底第二个公开B组全国象棋个人公开赛.
Heard that SIXGA is thinking to have team event to replace 《图隆杯》 in future.
The news from various clubs of future possible activities for 2014 : --
(A) 蔡厝港全国个人赛 -- 2014年 7月5日 至 28日
2014年 7月 5日 6日 12日 13日 19日 20日 26日 27日 28日
is considering using 《图隆杯》method to have all grades in one competition.
(B) For the above reason, SIXGA can consider to introduce back 年底第二个公开B组全国象棋个人公开赛 from Dec 2014 regardless future SIXGA team event, 团体联赛 or qiyou cup.

1 新加坡49周年国庆
2 象总80周年会庆
3 象总第34 届理事会就职典礼
… at this point, 2014 New Year, to look at, say the past 3 years of SIXGA, may be able to help SIXGA to plan a better tomorrow.
During the past 3 years from 2011 to 2013, SIXGA has worked on at least 3 new areas : --
(1) 象总网站
much better website in Chinese introduced from end 2010
(棋讯15 Page 4).
(2) 象总棋讯
more regular releases, 3 times a year, starting from Sep 2011 棋讯16.
(3) 图隆杯 2011 to 2013
After the initial 3 years, this could be the right time to conduct a review on the objective.
