包括市场大小，Market Players，Market...)那这是不是就是所谓的consulting？还有一点不明，这种类型的活，是project based还是长期给某一个company作market analysis？
对了，还有一个问题，如果在semicon已经做到senior engineer or principal engineer，转行做market analysis的起点会是什么，会是从最底层开始么？那么学历在这行重要么？比如ph.d in semicon area？

对了，还�...)Some answers1. Project Based. Partially it is consulting, however, we still put it as market research / market consulting...
2. Not necessarily to start from the entry level analyts. However, the personal's analytical and statistical skills will have big impact when the company decide which position to offer.
3. Degree is definitely one consideration, but the researchn firms will put real market understanding more important that academic results.

对了，还�...)It is business intelligence or market research, thoughThough there are some market research co. that provide consulting advices to supplement their reports, consulting is definitely not a major source of business.
To be senior in this sorta firm, you need established relationships with customers, instead of a phD - a nice relationship with paper editior ;)[Transhumanist (7-20 11:51, Long long ago)]
