【幸福育儿】分享最近找女佣的过程和感受第一次找女佣，在做准备工作时也在huasing上研读了不少经验贴，非常有用。现在女佣来了两周了，目前感觉还不错，也来分享一下找女佣的过程和个人体验。
1. 关于new maid 和 transfer maid的选择：
网上有很多关于新女佣和转让女佣的优劣分析，并没有定论说哪一种一定好，主要还是看个人自己家庭的情况和需要吧。因为我需要女佣尽快上岗，而且没有太多时间在家里一步一步地教导，所以选择了转让女佣，希望找一个有相关经验的能尽快上手。
价钱方面，转让女佣的薪水一般要高一点（因为有经验），但中介费要低一点，所以总体算下来也差不多。
转让女佣可以面对面的面试，我觉得这点比较重要，交谈过程中能发现很多在她们简历里看不出来的东西。
new maid也是有两种，一种是完全没有在新加坡做女佣的经验的，一种是之前在新加坡做过，但目前人不在新加坡。看见过很多本地网站的分享，觉得还是找有在新加坡经验，而且最好是本地华人家庭完成过两年合同的比较容易上手。 毕竟生活习惯差不多 （与马来或者印度雇主相比），而且本地华人家庭一般都要求很高，个人觉得有些要求近乎苛刻，不近人情了。
2. 女佣国籍：
根据网上的总结，一般而言，大家的感觉是缅甸的老实，但学东西比较慢，语言沟通稍弱；菲律宾的经验丰富，英文沟通一般没问题，但会提各种要求，耍小聪明；印尼的介于两者之间，但不吃猪肉（有些不介意煮猪肉），可能会一些“巫术” 小动作。
当然不能一概而论。不过转让女佣里面一般菲律宾的和印尼的居多。偶尔有几个缅甸的，简历看上去都是才来不久就转让。
3. 面试过程：
首先要有自己的selection criteria，在网上“海选”简历。当时用了两个网站，http://www.netmaid.com.sg, http://www.bestmaid.com.sg。 两者界面都差不多，用户体验的话bestmaid比较好。多看看几个简历，就会慢慢调整自己的selection criteria，更明确想要找什么样的女佣。
看着觉得顺眼的，就要求中介发详细的简历过来进一步审查，shortlist几个约定面试时间。最好也在mom的网站上查查中介的评分，有些分数大大低于average的，或者有demerit points的，我一概pass。
中介发过来的详细简历上面，一般会写有女佣为什么离开前雇主的理由，雇主家庭成员（有无老人，小孩）和她当时的任务，这两条需要重点考察。简历上的经历应该和mom上的女佣工作记录时间能一一对应上。最理想的是女佣能完成至少一个合同，每次转让的理由合情合理。看见过的比较合理的理由有：不适应雇主的饮食习惯（主要是印度雇主吃素的），雇主外派去其他国家，雇主决定自己在家带娃不需要女佣，等。需要值得主意并深入了解的原因： 与家里老人不合，连续几次转让都是在雇主家少于6个月内，等。
如果在洋人雇主家工作过的，我也没有选。担心她们被“惯坏了”，要求高，工资也高。当然，这种转让的女佣一般也是想选洋人家庭的。
如果是需要照顾婴儿的，最好女佣有照顾过相同年龄的小孩的经验。有的简历上虽然写着雇主家有小孩，但面试时却发现女佣几乎只是做家务，很少照顾小孩，或者雇主家有两个女佣，她们分工。
除了提前约定的面试，还有walk-in 的面试。在乌节路的lucky plaza和far east 有很多间中介，周日时有些中介里里外外坐满了女佣，可以径直走进去要简历，看着不错的立刻就能面试。
面试了几个后，也就有了感觉，有些谈了几句话就知道不适合，特别是态度问题。比如：本身经验不是很多（就两三年）但要求不少，一开口就问她能不能有自己的房间，一定要每月4天假期不妥协的。或者听到家里会装cctv，面露难色的。关于过去的工作经验说得不清不楚的。更多的是一种感觉，能感到她是不是诚恳，勤劳，愿意学习，而且期望能在雇主家长期做下去（完成合同）而不是想着经常跳槽的。

* Why you want to transfer? (For transfer maid)
* Why you want to work as a domestic helper?
* Do you need to remit money back home monthly? How much? (If yes, it could mean she needs money and may therefore be more motivated and focused to work)
* Do you need to support your family financially? Roughly how long do they depend on your salary?
Skills and Experience
* What can you cook? Can you tell us how to prepare XXX? (depends on what she replied)
* What could you do if you think my child need to be scolded and punished?
* How do you keep a child safe and not injured?
* Can you demonstrate how do you carry a bedridden person?
* How do you shower a child/elderly? Step by step.
* Have you calm a crying child/fussy elderly? How?
(a) For Experienced Maid
* What do you do in your previous employer's house? (To know her experience in details)
* What are the things that your employer did that pleased you or made you sad/angry?
* How many people are there in your previous employer's house and who are they? (to check whether she has the skill to take care of baby or elderly)
* What will you do if my child cries non-stop and I am not around?
* Have you made baby sleep at night?
* Did you stay in the night to do night feed or change diaper?
* What time do you wake up? What time do you sleep? (eg I need you to wake up at six in the morning to prepare breakfast for my kid? Is 6am too early for you? （如果家庭有特别需要的话，看她是否愿意早起或者晚睡）
* How do you make a child eat if she refuses?
* Have you done toileting training? Toilet training are days of shit and urine that need FDW to clean up.
* Why did you leave your last job? Not that they won't tell you if something was wrong with them
* Why did you do in your previous employment? How many kids did you take care of, what were your duties, how many people did you live with, how big was the house you had to clean, what time did you have to wake up when you worked for them, etc. Find out is she overloaded or not well tasked.
(b) For New Maid
* Do you need to do housework at home? (If she has never do any housework before, I do not think she is qualified to work as a domestic helper)
* Do you have children at home? (Whether she has taken care of children before)
* Do you like kid and are you willing to learn how to take care of kid? (This question is for single maid who probably may have zero experience in taking care of kid)
* What do you learn in SIP? (see what she remembers - safety, her rights, how to run for help, etc)
* Do you have sibling? Where are they? (Sometimes, if their parents fall sick and she is the only child, she may need to return home to take care of parents)
* Do you have boy friend, when do you plan to get married?
* What's your husband working as?
* What are you most concerned/worried about back home? (find out is it money or have no burden at home)
* What are the food you can eat?
* How long do you take to shower? (some FDWs especially those with long hair can spend a lot of time grooming. Some may not shower or wash hair daily.)?
* What will you do if child beat you?
* Do you beat, shout or scold the child if he is naughty or doesn't listen to you?
* Have you been to Singapore? What do you like about Singapore? Do you have any friends/family in Singapore? To gauge interest level, as well as kind of “support” she has in Singapore.
* How often do you need to call home? This helps to establish boundaries.
If I give you off days, what would you do? Understand maid's interest/personality, may not be true.
Questions to test how sincere/keen is maid (her working mentality):
* Does or Can employer keep your passport?" Listen to what she says. Her uneasiness is a sign that she shouldn't be employed. A maid who ask for too much 'rights' is very hard to manage or work with. Yes, she's a human but that is not an excuse to deliver shabby work or be a compulsive liar.
* Do you have a mobile? How often do you use? How much do you spend each month?
Mobile phone is a work distraction for FDWs. Most FDWs cannot multi-task. Her distraction may cause your child to be hurt, fire (cooking) or something destroyed (eg ironing your branded clothes).
不过现在有经验的，特别是菲律宾的都有自己的手机，那需要在面试时讲好她自己负责自己手机的花费，不能用家里的wifi。工作时间不可以用手机
Find out how lenient was her ex-employer. Listen and see through hidden words - is FDW here for pleasure or work for an income. Is she showing resistance of you keeping her mobile phone during the day?[iceclover (5-16 19:50, Long long ago)]

如果有女佣的名字，可以搜一下她有没有facebook是不是很active，Facebook上发的贴是周日时（off day）的还是平时也有发帖。也能从侧面了解她的个性。
