Most teachers spend 13 – 15 hours a week teaching in class. Only experienced teachers have all their materials with them and probably spend 15 minutes preparing for every hour of lessons; beginning teachers and teachers who do not want to do the same, mundane things will spend at least 1 hour preparing for every hour of lessons. That adds up to 28 – 30 hours of work every week spent to make sure their students learn well in an engaging environment.
