有个提议。毕业了的朋友们是不是可以多介绍一些各行业的情况：如薪水，行业景气程度，前景之类的。
我也来介绍一下我了解的一些关于IT的情况：我是nus soc三年毕业的，没有honor degree,在外面已经混了一年了。现在在一个听起来还不错的公司混饭。目前我正参与的project是替singapore power设计一个自动化的管理软件，其他的功能还包括通过palm向查表员分配任务和显示地图等。我刚进这个公司不太久，工资并不高，只有2400，所幸是permanent job,福利还算好，也没有什么加班。
据我所知，IT现在的起始工资似乎不如engineering.我曾经跟一些job agent 通过邮件，得到的印象是：一个有1-2年的工作经验的，有一个一般般的honor degree 在身的soc学生，如果跳槽薪水大约是2400-2800。而一个fresh graduate, 工资很难超过2500。

Now my company is Maxtor, the situation of Maxtor is not very good, it plan to retrench 5500 ppl in singapore. Most of them will be operators, contractors. The company will shut down one plant here and will move the low end harddisk production line to Suzhou. The salary for fresh graduate is 2450. This salary is lower than seagate 2800, lots of engineers already resigned and join seagate since company release the plan of retrenchment.
