Main duties of the Laboratory Technologist are to:
Conduct routine tests such as virus isolation, PCR and serological tests for the detection and diagnosis of viruses that cause animal disease;
Prepare reagents and materials required for use in laboratory tests;
Calibration and maintenance of equipment;
Participate in the maintenance of a laboratory quality system according to IS17025 standards;
Record keeping and data entry.

Requirements:
A’ levels or Diploma in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biological Science, Medical Technology, Veterinary Medical Technology or related fields.
Be willing to handle blood and animal specimens of all species
Team player with initiative, drive and good interpersonal/communication skills and able to work independently.
Have a strong safety culture, and develop good aseptic techniques
