It has come to a time that I believe that my computer can serve better purposes and have decided to shut-down both the CS and Warcraft 3 server. I have to thank everyone who has played, felt enjoyed or frustrated on these servers in the past. You loyal and regular turn-ups are deeply appreciated.

Reason:
1. CS 1.5 is about to be replaced by CS 1.6 and I'm waiting for its LAN patch. ( the continual drop in the number of players clearly showed its time has passed)

2. Warcraft 3 is not fun when you have only NUS's LAN players. Since we have servers that are publicly accessible, all players can go to them, or, better, Battle.net. (time to get an original copy for yourself)

3. I need to convert the machine to run on Windows 2003 platform for a competition. (machine conscribed :P)

我基本上每天晚上在TH的server上玩，20个人的server都经常爆满，而且经常是玩到2、3点的那种。RH据说有gaming comm，每个周三都会玩上一、两把，不过还是不过瘾，我在RH的朋友现在每天晚上在msn上问我要TH server的ip。

cs1.6确实出来了，可是劣评如潮，而且很多bug，大家还是更愿意玩cs1.5。

据我所知，很多人不惜take trouble到处问TH server 的 ip 而不上你的server是因为：
1。你的server上有ice_world，很多人很讨厌这张图，而且人多了更是没意思。
2。最重要的是没有administrator，大家想玩什么地图自己不可以控制，要等他自己auto-rotate。其实可以设个rcon password，然后找几个经常玩
的人做administrator，这样可能大家的兴致会高点。
3。不知道为什么，你的server玩着玩着突然会非常lag，TH的server用的是pIII的，都没有这么大的lag，所以很多人就turned off了。

就这些，说完了。=)

and i think ice in teens is not that bad. cause if there are only 3 or 4 ppl, how to play in big maps ah.

i think the major prb is laggy......



anyway still many thanks to teens, provided a wonderful server for a long time, and we really enjoyed playing there :D

使得CS这个很好的以Team work为宗旨game，沦为一个象quake3一样的，各自为战的发泄工具。

前段时间，碰到这个地图我就出去了。

其实有这个地图不是不可以，大家也确实需要发泄，只是它出现得也太频繁了，teen的server上几乎是一张正常地图过后就是一个iceworld，
我感觉5:1的比例就比较合适了。

holib2 只有ice和snow两张，不过也几乎是爆满
我也曾经建议过加上一些正规地图，不过没有得到采纳。
hobli都是正规地图，不过玩的人很少
其实，
最好的方式就是正规和pk地图混合，这样，大家又能体验CS的经典之处，累了也可以发泄一下。

BTW：大家知道hobli的地址吧，hiahia

怕就怕好不容易十几、二十个人凑到一起玩，突然地图时间到了，然后突然换成iceworld了，然后就看到一个又一个的"xxx has left the game"...

我一看到那iceworld我就走，极度没有意思。

很久没有跟大家一起打cs了，好怀念的说。

TH的IP又老是换，郁闷阿………

另外，可以直接填电脑名么？

我昨天试了一下，没找到。

电脑名是duke或者seehumm，不过现在经常set up server的那个人不知道自己的电脑名是什么，我不是一有ip就msn你吗？嘿嘿。=)
