the one-day event for the 8 teams will be conducted in the same way as in 2006 义顺南国庆佳节象棋团体赛.

Some other news released by 象棋总会会长林关浩先生 :

(1) 新柔百人赛：30－03－2008

closing date for xiangqi clubs to nominate up to 5 players is 23 Mar 2008.

(2) Top of the Tops Individual Event (details to be released later)

(2.1) all xiangqi clubs to hold internal competitions (follow the rules of Asian Xiangqi Federation) to select one Top player.

(2.2) all top players from the various clubs (one player per club) to play in a Grand Finals to select the Top of the Tops.

seem like "菜" and "刀" busy on preparation for Bishan Cup and did not notice ....
the changes of this competition in early Feb 2008.....

as mentioned during the 碧山杯全国象棋个人赛, Bishan failed in organising the 全国选区象棋团体赛due to too few teams registered.

We will have a review meeting tonight to look into the matters .....

Proposal 1 --

by the first two digits of postal codes, i.e. postal districts, there are around 80 postal districts in Singapore. Just look at the NRIC address will know whether within the same postal district. Using the Xiangqi World Method.

Proposal 2 --

by the 5 CDCs in Singapore, can have up to a few teams per CDC and using the Xiangqi World Method. Households receiving Newsletters from only one CDC will know under which CDC.

Proposal 3 --

by the existing 12 active teams, 4 members per team and using the Xiangqi World Cup Method. Bishan existing Classroom 2 can handle 50 players or less as in Day 2, 2 Mar 2008. The starting layout for 56 players on 1 Mar 2008 was not so good.
