Our initial plan was up to 9 rounds of 90-minute (each player) system on 23 & 24 Feb and 1 & 2 Mar..... and to include at least 2 graded players per team to have up to 6 players per team .......

last night, after the meeting on 2008 Bishan Cup, we had a casual talk with the Chairman of Bishan East Constituency Sports Club (CSC) regarding the visiting trip to West Malaysia, he told us that he will leave CSC after Jan 2009, I told him that we may plan the trip around Nov 2008 to Jan 2009 if possible even during the time end Oct to early Dec 2008 so that he can join us too.

CSC has provided supports to us in 2004 and 2006 Chinese Cultural Festivals, and also supports us in the coming 2008 Chinese Cultural Festival again.

The Bishan EXCO discussed later last night on the West Malaysia trip too, we would like to see at least 10 players from bishan and another 10 players from all other xiangqi clubs (say one player each) before we start to do any planning.

From the problems encountered in getting 4 players for 新柔百人赛 originally scheduled on 24－02－2008, we are of the views that Bishan members should try to attend the one-day event of 新柔百人赛 before any planning of few days West Malaysia trip further.

With this latest development, we may move this West Malaysia trip item back to the original scheduled year, i.e. 2011 as planned in early 2007.

only three teams, namely Nanyang, Kampong Glam and Bishan East Divisions are ok, the team led by 张顺喜 having some problems with the addresses, nevertheless, all four members of his team still can join the competition as individuals.

before the final checking, tentatively we have 57 individuals and 3 teams, we will need to review whether to allocate trophies for the team(s).
