Think not much chance...
They can only give you nothing but ridiculous reasons, 'coz U.S. is a paradise to us in their eyes.

In any case, I think you might have to sadly give up the chance... Based on my personal experience, re-apply will only add another reject record into your passport (and wasting your time and money).

Never? I was rejected twice!
There is some slight differences between walk-in and through travel agents. But if the reason they gave is as what you expressed, I'm not expecting a turn over easily...

I got rejected twice for SIGGRAPH 2000 when I was in my 3rd year in NUS. Went through travel agency, got all the necessary documents and supports, but they were as ridiculous as they could. Finish.

I was single, student, had been in Singapore for only 2.x years. No strong incentive to come back to Singapore... even though I managed to convince MOE to give me a letter providing my bond in Singapore (+ my contract)... Frankly speaking, it was really a bad experience.

I think you misunderstood me.
What I was referring to was specific cases where they give you ridiculous reasons for rejecting your visa. As you've been to U.S. before by B2 visa, and you have not got any rejection so far (good luck!), your situation is completely different. All I can do to help now is to wish you your best luck! :^)
