some info about aki....after 3 years in archi, you get bachelor of arts (architecture);
after 4 years, you get bachelor of arts with honours;
after 5 years, you get master of architecture.
after working for another 2 years, you can sit for architect registration exam by Singapore Institute of Architect (SIA), and you become an registered ARCHITECT.
and so, basically, you can practice anywhere in the world, including China.
as far as i know, there is no transfer-in student, or sit-in student in archi...
by the way, if you want to do archi, why not give up the scholarship?
i know,but...
If i give up the scholarship,how can i support myself in Singapore? Is it possibly that i get bachelor of architecture when i work,i mean after gradulation from NUS carrying the CE degree?
Civil Engineering & Arch are in diff facultyCivil Engineering (CE) is under Faculty of Engineering while Architecture is under Real Estate. Archi is 5-year program for undergraduate while CE is 4-year program towards Honors Degree.
Generally speaking you can choose some Archi modules to enrich yourself. And if your performance is good for those modules, you could talk to respective levturers to join thier other modules as "sit in" students.
However, you will never be granted Minor on Archi.
How to apply for a minor?
I mean,is there any relationship between a minor and the major? If i stay in CE,what minor can i apply for?
oops....my goodness, you mean you want to do archi after u graduate? i dont know about the admission for this kind of case, but mostly seems not possible.
for admission into archi, there is a entrance exam and an interview, on top of the basic requirments for normal courses.
without scholarship, you can apply for study loan, just in this case, you have to pay back....
My God
I'm really upset to know that it's impossible to go Arch. But thanks for your information.
