another logical question.
Before sentencing a convicted person, a judge said to him, "i will allow you to make just one statement. If that statement is true, you will be fined $50000. If that statement is false, you will be jailed for one month. But you will not be both fined and jailed." Can the person make a statement that will allow him to go free without being fined or jailed?

春花秋月何时了,往事知多少。 小楼昨夜又东风, 故国不堪回首月明中。 雕栏玉砌应犹在,只是朱颜改。 问君能有几多愁, 恰似一江春水向东流。

Yes the lucky man can get free.
He can state a statement which can be neither true nor fasle.

For example, the guy says, I am a lying.

If he says the truth, by what he says, he is lying.

If he is lying, so what he says must be falsh, that is, he is saying the truth.

This is an example of self-contradiction.
