In general, there is no problem to upgrade the skills of this group of players (少年与女棋手) in the long run.
The only concern that I have is
***** anyone is paying attention to "最近在象总的布告栏上看到棋手的棋品修养包括心理素质和道德品质两方面。" (Page 24 of 碧山民众俱乐部象棋会简讯 25).
Some of these players will represent Singapore in future if not now. Other than the technical skills, we should not forget about 棋手的棋品修养. This is also one of the problems SIXGA facing in the last few years.
They are good.
I went there to take a look only but was made to play them. Anyway these young players were good. I thought I could finish them in about an hour when geting some advantages, but 4 out of 5 struggled for more than 2 hours even after Lin Yao Sen took over later (I was leaving for some personal things). I heard 1 drew eventually. The one lost to me was by mistake. At the other side I heard Huang Jun Ming even lost 1 game to them.
