I check the SIXGA website and notice that the ranking for ladies after Round 5 are listed below :

5 Ng Yang Ce
6 洪黛欢
7 Tan Jing Xuan
8 Seow Hui Xian
9 Lim Sing Rong
10 牛宇超

From my experience of using another computer pairing software, Sevilla, it will start from the top to look for the pairing for 1st record, in this case is 陈茗芳, as 陈茗芳 has played with ranking No. 2 to No. 5, the next possible record is 洪黛欢.

As for 苏盈盈, the next possible record is Ng Yang Ce, even with Ng Yang Ce, if both 陈茗芳 and 苏盈盈 win in Round 6, 陈茗芳 still have a better ranking than 苏盈盈 after Round 6 ...... The actual pairing for 苏盈盈 is Tan Jing Xuan eventually could be due to several reasons unless any computer pairing expert could help to explain the whole situation.

SIXGA Pairing Software, Swissperfect is one of the good pairing softwares.

for 苏盈盈 遇 Tan and not 黄杨策 could be due to the remaining 6 players are unable to form 3 pairs due to the previous rounds played. Usually the software will break the latest pair formed and redo the pairing again. For this reason, the pair of 陈茗芳 and 洪黛欢 will break and redo again if the remaining 8 players could not form 4 pairs.

I believe the same set of parameters are used for Groups A & B too.

As for why not using Round Robin System for ladies this year, the possible reason could be the number of lady players for the past few years was 8 or less, up to 7 round round-robin system is enough, may be SIXGA EXCO could cover the review of this point for 2009 Ladies Open too.

It is ok to me but I feel that you do not have the whole picture of Xiangqi Development.
