Chinese Chess will not have a future in Singapore IF...1) the games continued to be played by Only Chinese Male.
2) And the team with the most 甲级/乙级 players will usually win... So predictable.
The same type of games have been going on for years... nothing spectacular.
The organizer from Raffles must think of a way out.
1) E.g. Make it mandatory for each team to have at least one girl and one non-Chinese.
2) Introduce some excitement into the game, e.g. each team will have one trump card. They can use the trump card once in the tournament to exclude one particular player from the opponent team (can only use once during the 2 days' tournament).
3) I am still thinking....

Interesting observations and suggestions...
Besides doing 2-3 session on discussion of AXF's Rules for Perpetual Loop Moves, I intend also to do a report consolidating views and suggestions for Traditional Xiangqi(Chinese Chess), probably named Singapore Chinese Chess Destiny 2020. This will be my last gift to TXQ(CC) before my terms at SIXGA ends early next year.
Hope you and other like-minded TXQ(CC) enthusiasts can help contribute useful and meaningful observations and ideas. Implementation of the blueprint will probably be considered by the future installments of TXQ(CC) leaders and enthusiasts from 2014.
