I am not sure what kind of battery it is usingfor standard Canon battery, its about 20. Anyway, thats how a camera eating money from you, hehe..... My personal feeling is DC's body is more important than the lens (comparing with traditional SLR), hence it worth to spend a bit more money on the body. For lenses, we still can buy it one by one.
