我还是觉得买房子比较值尤其是房价偏低的年头,一般的UNIT TRUST,能够长年维持10到20%的增长实在不容易。更何况还需要仔细分析选择?特别是股票类基金,下跌的风险还是不少的。尤其对没什么时间管理资金的上班族。你可以看到不少港台明星都在新加坡置业,一买就是几栋房子(当然那是私宅)。
我的意思是用CPF投资房产,原来用于交付租金的现金,加上多余房间租出去的租金进行短/长期投资,这样似乎比较吸引人。
如果觉得住组屋比较没劲的话,供房子用于出租,自己租公寓也是不错的选择。
个人意见,无所谓对错,呵呵。

also i am aware that for housing, sometimes there are more non-financial considerations than financial ones. anyway, i don't think i will buy a house for my family and rent out the "redundant rooms". cannot imagine having a stranger living together with you, your spouse and kids...
