新手职业规划， cfa 和 frm有可比性吗？
从工科转商科或者金融，一定要有新的领域中的professional qualification，不是很明确应该怎么走下一步。到底应该拿个什么样的新文凭。
在职业规划的时候，CFA和FRM 如何进行选择呢？

there is a part-time MBA course...

btw u sound pretty young from my observation (forgive me if i am wrong), r u
sure u wanna make a transition into banking/finance? it took me a few years after graduation to decide my current career path...

thanksbut...i've changed already...doing a fiance job without any professional qualification now. all other pple in my group are from business background.....all chinese national staff in my department hold master degree in buiness related major.....
so i'm very keen to get a degree or qualification to make me stand in the company.

part time finance?where could i find part time course (master degree) in nus business school? yes, i can only find mba in the website...
MFE got part-time one...dont think they r offering M in Fin now....
huh...?....i'm planning for future career...so it may not be restricted by my current job...
that's why i wanna know..

now i change from engineering to finance or business related fields..but dunno which direction to go yet... so still a lot to think and choose :)

i read some intro about cfa and frm, but still do not have clear idea about how to choose between the two.
CFA more versatile but takes much longer...(at least 3 yrs)
FRM takes only 1 year but only helpful if u wanna do RM.
u have to let us know what u really want to do before we can advise further...

"to determine what u want to be...quant, trader, ib" is not easy for me at the moment...as i'm quite new now. when i know what i want to be, then choose the course to take may be a much easier...
I am still at the stage of thinking of what to do :)
maybe that's why u think why this *** guy keep asking the same questio without thinking of it carefully by himself first.
whether old or young is not that important, isn't it?...
my juniors always say me old when playing with me :) and they also like to ask me all kinds of funny questions about studying in singapore .... ...

banking, esp IB, is a line of cut-throat competition and requiring one to be extremely resourceful and full of initiatives. from what i have observed, u dont seem to be ready yet...
just wondering, u r already in the line and have an advantage over many bros here who are still struggling very hard to break in. u have colleague and business associates to fall back to. if i were u, i will leverage on them first...
depending where u r, if u r in ib, i believe many will tell u that paper qualification is no longer relevant once u r in. it's the experience that counts more. not sure about other sector of finance, but i believe the same should apply...
