CVC Capital Unit Takes 28.81% Stake In Amtek Engineering22 May 2007 13:14 CST DJ CVC Capital Unit Takes 28.81% Stake In Amtek Engineering SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--A unit of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has taken a 28.81% stake in Singapore-listed electronics contract manufacturer Amtek Engineering Ltd. (A11.SG), according to filings Tuesday. The substantial shareholder notices filed with the Singapore Exchange said Metcomp Group has entered into agreements with existing Amtek shareholders for an off-market acquisition of 135 million shares at S$1.10 per share, or S$148.5 million in total. Metcomp Group is controlled by CVC Capital Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in London. Trade in Amtek's shares was halted early Tuesday.
