for asia the ping is not stable, 1)sometimes it is routing to us west (San Fran) and routing back to Korea(ping 700-800ms so laggy). 2)sometimes it goes by Hong Kong route (ping 250-300ms ok for play) 3)even it goes by Hong Kong, for a few days, i find the ping is still very high but the main problem is because the StarHub main outbound connection very laggy when it goes out into Singapore Backbone (i do nt know if university users have the same problem).

for us west and us east, the 2 are quite stable at around 250-350ms in my SCV connection(before i upgrade to max 3000, the max 1500 ping is even lower at 200ms optimal latency),
i recommend us west for bn gaming, i am not good war3 player but i know there are a lot of gosu in us west other than in asia bn. for RTS gaming, first thing and important thing is playing smoothly.
