[让我们荡起双桨]I learnt this beautiful song in year 1987 when I was a P1 student wearing the Red Tie which is by convention dyed by the fresh blood of martyrs of the revolutions, either the republican revolution or communist revolution, or King Wu (r. ca 1200 BC) Revolution against the draconian Shang Dynasty, - certainly this is a rhetoric, widely adopted by any ideological instillation project, e.g. the Crucifixion is the salvation of the sinful populace made possible by His Holy sacrificing his son etc. I like this song very much, the romantic lyrics and bright tune. Rendition from this group of young lasses vivified the narration, their prettiness lays the song one more layer, which can only be savored by the discerning heart. The very beginning sepia scene captured those tranquil afternoons, buzz came though the willow, grasshoppers jumped into thicket, thou (a general referent without a specified signified) and me (a general referent too.) wandered hand in hand... (more...)
