After sitting for the national exam that would determine his placement within the top 1% of his cohort, he was relocated to St Hilda’s Primary School which taught the GEP curriculum. 　 Most GEPers (pronounced ‘jee-per’, the term for those within the programme) flourish under the subsequent academic rigour and go on to perform much better than average academically.
