help for MySQL! pls help.............I have installed mySQL4.0.20a.

1. But in WinMySQLAdmin1.4, there is only 'test' database inside and cant be added any new database there.

2. in DOS, if i enter by 'mysql', then there is only 'test' database and cant do anything there. while if i enter by 'mysql -u root', there are 'test' and 'mysql' databases.

好像是用root加个新的user,然后用这个user操作databaseroot好像不能操作mysql 的 database

你的odbc 用户的权限
所以只能看到test
