The Pairing System to be used .......
Since there are a few xiangqi clubs sending two teams each, if the confirmed number of teams is 10 or 12, may be the method used in 2005 Lion City Cup Group B could be cosndiered : --
To divide all 10 or 12 teams into two groups, each group to have 2 or 3 seeded teams depending on the players in the team, teams from the same club to be balloted into different groups.
Phase 1 -- round robin system to be used for each group, total of 5 rounds
Phase 2 --
1st to 4th postions :
the top 2 of each group to continue 2 more rounds to deicde on 1st to 4th positions.
5th to 8th positions :
the 3rd and 4th placings of each group to continue 2 more rounds to deicde on 5th to 8th positions.
9th to 12th positions :
the 5th and 6th placings of each group to continue 2 more rounds to deicde on 9th to 12th positions.
If there are 13 or more teams, then the method to be used could be ......

The Method and Pairing System is confirmed .......
Since there are 12 teams, the method of 2005 Lion City Cup Group B will be used for this coming mind sport xiangqi team event :
Group A
北斗
文礼 A
华中 B
白沙东 C.C.
波那维斯达 B
哥南亚逸乐龄中心
Group B

义顺南 C.C.
Chong Pang RC Zone 2
碧山 C.C.
To divide all 12 teams into two groups.
Phase 1 -- round robin system to be used for each group, total of 5 rounds.
After Phase 1, to rank each group into :
Group A -- A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 A6
Group B -- B1 B2 B3 B4 B5 B6
Phase 2 is using knock-out system with :
Round 6 at Nee Soon South C.C. :
A1 vs B2
A2 vs B1
winners from above to play for 1st and 2nd placings in Round 7, the other two teams to play for 3rd and 4th placings in Round 7.
**These 4 teams to play the Round 7 at Suntec City on 12 Jan 2008 at 6 pm.**

...)谁说的？为了指出所谓的种子队，一定要在两组里面各挑两队，似乎不对吧？棋手名单我没有（说来惭愧，连赛制我也是从华新得知的），但如果就事论事，文礼、北斗、波那维斯达和白沙东都是强队，义顺南这次亦强亦弱。如果要说前四名的争夺，两组各挑三队机会最高的，比较容易。如果一定要说两队，那就近于博彩了。
其实这个比赛比分发生意外的可能性也也相当高，因为连续不停的比赛很容易影响棋手的发挥。候补的强弱，很有关系。这个比赛不限级，因此原本甲级不多的队比较吃亏。但结果好像是并没有太多队派全甲级，所以象碧山这样的队，（我猜想）属于甲乙混合，而且候补实力不逊于正选，实际上似弱不弱。种子棋队，说的是某些棋手的名气，还是全队临场的表现呢？

and I do not have the name lists too. (I heard that 白沙东 C.C. with 莫文耀 and 陈茂然. 义顺南 C.C. with 胡海宇 and 邱冠杰)
As for Bishan, likely we only could plan to have one or two boards for graded players and 2 or 3 boards for non-graded players. Same number if by age, i.e. to have one or two boards for 40 yrs old or above and 2 or 3 boards for 20 yrs old or below.
We try to aim for a good number for the final position, i.e. 8th. so as to have triple 8 lah... hehe.
(We have both 8th positions at Sep 2007 Albert Centre Team Event and Nov 2007 Pasir Ris East C.C. Team Event although the actual position was 7th for Nov 2007 event.) [棋人生 (12-18 22:34, Long long ago)]
