Bishan started to organise 小学象棋团体赛 in Nov 2003, the number of teams participated in the last TEN 小学象棋团体赛 over a FIVE years are as below :

(1) Nov 2003 (Bishan Cup) -- 54 teams from 23 schools

(2) May 2004 (Char Yong Cup) -- 37 teams from 16 schools

(3) Nov 2004 (Bishan Cup) -- 50 teams from 24 schools

(4) May 2005 (Char Yong Cup) -- 52 teams from 23 schools

(5) Nov 2005 (Bishan Cup) -- 60 teams from 25 schools

(6) May 2006 (Char Yong Cup) -- 42 teams from 18 schools

(7) Nov 2006 (Bishan Cup) -- 60 teams from 24 schools

(8) May 2007 (Char Yong Cup) -- 41 teams from 16 schools

(9) Nov 2007 (Corporation Cup, West Zone Only) -- 32 teams from 9 schools

(10) May 2008 (Char Yong Cup) -- 32 teams from 11 schools

(11) Nov 2008 (Corporation Cup, West Zone Only) -- ?? teams from ?? schools

From the above figures, in general, Nov is a better month than May, another possible reason could be effective email system were used in those competitions in Nov.
