you may not change your standard, you could change yourself somehow, i do not think people's mindset could not be changed. you are looking for a nice girl, but you could not demand too much. you must look for some key points you most care of. if you could find someone you like, and not only one could be your potential gf, you may have to think why they do not wanna accept you.
