截教后来怎么样了？

道教的历史我不甚了了，只在《封神演义》看说后来通天教主忍不下一口气，和另两人争斗，致使截教在万仙阵中大败被灭，门下有的战死，有的归入另三教。不知道历史上是怎么样的？
