确实，SAP和Siebel与Accenture或者IBM的BCS在商业上都是合作关系。许多BCS项目的解决方案都是采用software verdor(譬如Siebel或者SAP，还有非常多的小公司)的产品进行customize（所谓的package solution），根据需求build from scratch的并不多（所谓的customized solution）。前者要求consultant非常清楚产品的功能，包括产品可以定制到何种程度，并且以此进行需求分析，关键时候需要对客户说不，因为不能强求一个package solution做出它不能做到的功能。只是实际情况比较复杂，因为consultant对产品的功能不是很了解（特别是小公司的产品），或者因为proposal阶段对客户的需求不清晰，不少项目都慢慢的从当初设想的package solution变成customized solution，项目的scope越来越大，难度越来越复杂，导致最后很糟糕的结果甚至项目的失败。在新加坡或者南亚地区这种现象挺普遍的。

有空大家可以聚聚，譬如下班后或者星期五晚上，酒吧是很好的聊天的地方。同强调个人努力的sales相比，投身于proposal与solution的consulant，不管是IT consultant还是business consultant，因为项目涉及很多人，所以工作环境中有很多的人为因素，有时候会比较辛苦；但是从另一方面，与来自不同背景不同文化的团队成员一起合作，大家齐心协力共同到达一个目标，这是一种很快乐的感觉。我想我非常喜欢这种感觉。这种感觉是做sales无法带来的。
