I mentioned about 1995 to 2009 新加坡十五年象棋活动记录 on 27 Nov 2007 and changed to 新加坡十年 (4th Qtr 1998 to 3rd Qtr 2008) 象棋活动记录 on 11 Mar 2008.

In the coming 2 to 3 months, majority if not all are busy on watching 北京奥运 2008 and working on 怡和轩杯第15届亚洲象棋锦标赛(新加坡)(10月20-26日). No one will pay attention to the keeping of records, this is the real problem for the past several years.

For official records keeping, accuracy and completeness are the two critical factors, very few or none wish to participate in such nature of task.

At this point, I am thinking whether we should give way to the completeness, i.e. we should not worry too much on completeness and just to compile whatever we have, of course, data accuracy is still to be observed.

This is the reason for me to suggest the tentative title of the write-up as below :

1995 -- 2009 新加坡十五年象棋活动之一二 ......

i.e. regardless 1,2,3 ...... or how many items we managed to compile.

Now, we have less than 16 months to compile these information if SIXGA 75th Anniversary Celebration is to be held in Dec 2009 .......

we are going to lose more and more xiangqi information over times if we do not start to do somethings now ....

Singapore Xiangqi 10-Year Records

We may use a moving target approach, i.e.

If we can get it up by Oct 2008 (in time for 第15届亚洲象棋锦标赛), then the 10 years cover Oct 1998 to Sep 2008, otherwise we may aim for Oct 1999 to Sep 2009 before SIXGA’s 75th Anniversary Celebration.

Singapore 15 years Xiangqi Records, 1995 to 2009

To ensure a good job, I also wish to suggest not to rush for Oct 2008 Asian Xiangqi Games in Singapore but to aim for end 2009 SIXGA 75th Anniversary, if the records could be compiled before Oct 2008 in times for Asian Xiangqi Federation 30th Anniversary Celebration in Singapore, it will be considered as unexpected present from Singapore.
