跟这个贷款一美元的故事有点相似.
　　二十世纪四十年代，一天中午，纽约市中心的一家大银行的贷款部，来了一位衣冠楚楚的犹太老太婆。她将手中漂亮的坤包放在柜台上：“我想借些钱。”
　　“可以，按规定，只要您提供相应的担保，借多少都是可以的。”贷款经理一边做着手势，一边回答。
　　“可是，我只借一美元，可以吗？”
　　“当然可以！不过……”贷款经理微笑着。
　　“这些是但保。”犹太老太婆很利索地打开皮包，拿出了一大堆票据，“您计算一下，50万美元，够了吧？”
　　“当然，当然！不过，您真的只借一美元吗？”
　　“是的，但我希望，允许提前还贷，有问题吗？”
　　“没问题。这是一美元，年息6％，为期一年，可以提前归还。归还时，我们将这些票据还给你。这是合同。”贷款经理虽有疑惑，但人家的票据的确都是真的，而且显然没有违反规定，所以他还是熟练地按规程办着手续。
　　“谢谢！”犹太老太婆在合同上签字后，接过一美元，转身就走。
　　“等等，请等一等！”
　　“还有什么事吗？”
　　“我实在不明白，您担保的票据值那么多的钱，为什么只借一美元呢？即使您要借个三、四十万美元，我们也是挺乐意的……。”
　　“噢……，是这样的。我必须找个保险的地方存放这些票据，而租个保险箱又得花不少费用。放在您们这儿即安全，又能随时取用，一年只要6美分，实在是划算的很。”
　　“？？？……”旁边，所有的人都呆在哪里，可是他们的脑袋却活跃了起来。
