希望配合2008华族文化节而主办的第三届碧山杯全国象棋个人赛曁第一届碧山杯全国选区象棋团体赛会有不错的反应。

After the stop of Bishan Cup team event for primary schools, the above event should be our only external xiangqi activity, once in two years, if we could handle it well for the coming one.

As for 组团到西马交流, it should be another event in between Chinese Cultural Festival, i.e.

So the coming 第一届碧山杯全国选区象棋团体赛 will decide whether we will move along this direction.

Bishan C.C. has informed all C.C.s on 17 Nov 2007, Saturday afternoon regarding 2008第3届碧山杯全国象棋个人赛曁第1届碧山杯全国选区象棋团体赛, details as shown below : --

From the rules and schedule, you will notice that :

minimum number : 10 teams or 40 players

maximum number : 25 teams or 100 players

closing date for registration : 30 Jan 2008, Wednesday

Event Dates : 1 & 2 Mar 2008, Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 pm

As usual, we will conduct review after the event and introduce changes and improvements if any for future xiangqi activities during Chinese Cultural Festivals.

1.有级的新加坡公民和有级的永久居民都不能参加.

In our original plan, team of 6 to have 2 有级 and 4 无级, due to the approval of reduced budget, we only plan with team of 4 无级. If this time the activity is well organised, we will ask for higher budget to include 有级 for 2010 Chinese Cultural Festival 全国选区象棋团体赛.

2.拥有NRIC/FIN号码的EP, WP, S-Pass, Student Pass, DP, LT-SVP的棋手是不是均不能参加？

As there is no way to determine whether they are around the 无级 standard, if they have participated in SIXGA Group B previously (their duties to show document proof from SIXGA) and not promoted to Group A, we may discuss and consider to accept their application when the working committee is formed.

3.2008年一月中下旬将在国大举行中国留学生象棋比赛（第五届），在此恳求赛务处特批前三名学生（无级）以受邀方式准予参赛。

same rule as 2 above to avoid special treatment as I believe quite a number of 中国留学生 in this 中国留学生象棋比赛（第五届）are having high standards.

So far, 12 players have registered, 21 Nov is the closing date for registration. As the timing is good, we may select some of the players to form part of the team for the Mind Sport Event at Nee Soon South C.C. on 20 & 25 Dec 2007.

encourage those 无级新加坡公民和永久居民 staying within the same C.C. boundary to form up to 3 teams to participate, if they could carry on after the event to stay with the C.C. to form xiangqi interest group under the same C.C., then we are moving in the right direction, better still if those with grades could help them to form teams in this round.

As mentioned, the C.C. needs to register their residents (Address in NRIC card will be checked) under the team event only, as for individuals, we do not check their address (only to be used as postal address if needed) and they do not need to register through the C.C.s.

for those with new address less than 1 year, they only can represent the previous address 选区.

As we are using the concept but not the rules totally, we may just check the address as shown in their NRICs.

Other cases can apply to the working committee.

When we have 2 graded players in the team of 6, say from 2010, we may use the 1-year rule to control.

for this coming event, we prefer the Bishan members to represent their C.C.s (based on addresses too) if they are not staying in Bishan East unless they insist to represent Bishan Xiangqi Club, then the working committee needs to decide.

so, all xiangqi clubs/teams are given.

Minimum -- For 10 teams or 40 players :

3 team prizes.

9 individual prizes and cash total is $ 430

For 20 teams or 80 players :

6 team prizes.

18 individual prizes and cash total is $ 930

Maximum -- For 25 teams or 100 players :

8 team prizes.

23 individual prizes and cash total is $1,350

2007 年 11 月25日 开锣的内部个人赛，共吸引了20名会员参加，为了缩短赛期，比赛制度为一局分级循环，不过，任何一位参加者都可以在比赛中争夺冠军。这是和一般的分级赛不同的地方。

From the ruling, we have 4 groups of 4,6,6,4 players in Phase 1 :

Group A -- 4 players (3 rounds)
Group B -- 6 players (5 rounds)
Group C -- 6 players (5 rounds)
Group D -- 4 players (3 rounds)

In Phase 2 循环, Group A bottom 3 will form Group E together with Group B Top 3 but Phase 1 results will be carried forward to Group E.

Group F -- Group B bottom 3 and Group C Top 3, same rule applied as Group E.

Group G -- Group C bottom 3 and Group D Top 3, same rule applied as Group E.

1st in Group A and last in Group D will wait for Phase 3 games if any depending on the results of Phase 2.

these 6 members are under this new 5-year scheme, existing members under 3-year scheme will be converted over the next 2.5 years before the celebration of 8th Anniversary of Bishan Xiangqi Club at end June 2010.
