I find him very ridiculous ...in time control I mean. I once saw before 46 min VS 5 min. I am not aware of his game situations at those points of time but I wouldn't be surprised if many enemies are KOed indirectly because of time. Luckily, he is banned from Division B from next year and we happily let him bring misery to his Division A enemies in June 2010. Good Luck to them all. :-) ---kurubear

是啊我以前也说过看好廖和林超贤原本以前也看好刘义豪但是由于进了JC下棋的时间肯定没有廖多。 这些棋手还很年轻，如能和高手多接触多培养，肯定可以再提高水平。这很可能会提高新加坡年轻棋手的功力。看象棋总会这么搞了。比如说一个大师或强甲分配成个BUDDY SYSTEM。还是像类似的想法。廖的棋再B组算好了功力在甲组算普通吧。廖的优势在他的年龄和他的心态。但如得到高手的培养和训练，以后代表新家坡参加世界杯应该就是他了。这也包括林超贤和黄俊阳年轻棋手等等。 感觉现在跟以前的水平比起要差很多。最早B组升两个棋手然后就慢慢升4个。现在一年能升8或多过8个棋手。这让新加坡甲组个人赛的水平下降。希望象总可以去注意这点。

He has not used his full power yetIn the 7 games so far, he has yet to use his most powerful opening. He has been using elephant and horse openings which are definitely not his forte. In other words, he has been fighting with with his sword undrawn. What is amazing about Darryl Leow is his young age and how much he has improved over the past 2 years. Still, players of his standard are a dime a dozen in A division. According to legend, Hu Haiyu and Lin Zi Chong were 2 players who won all their games from start to finish in the B division (back then there were 11 rounds and more opponents). Yet within the A division, there lies even stronger players. Our GM Alvin Woo has been ranked 6th in 2 international individual competitions this year and recently in one game, he defeated Vietnam's top player Nguyen Thanh Bao by winning 3 seeds.
